Arizona Traffic Stop Safety Reminder

- If it is safe to do so, call 911 to verify that the traffic stop is legitimate. Tell the dispatcher your location, the vehicle behind you, and that you are seeking confirmation before stopping.
- Turn on your hazard lights to acknowledge the officer and proceed at a safe speed to a well-lit, populated location if one is nearby.
- Follow the dispatcher’s instructions and comply with lawful orders once the stop has been verified.
- If you ever feel unsafe, communicate your concerns clearly and respectfully to both the dispatcher and the officer.
